The Wick has been playing in the GTA since 2010. We are a hard rocking band that takes great pride in working on our songs until we feel they are presentable.

Our wide variety of rock Genres ensures that everyone at the show has something to enjoy listening, dancing and singing along with.

Every gig is thought out and the song list put together to ensure that if you see us again and again at the same venue, you will not be hearing the same set list as last time.

We are always listening to people who come out to our shows for suggestions of songs to play and will put thought into including them in our set list, so keep those suggestions coming.

Doug has been rockin’ it for 40 + years and shows no sign of slowing down any time soon.
Growing up in an area with an abundance of musically talented people to play with, Doug had a lot of bands to gig with and record.
After moving to “The Wick” in 2000 he found a lot of talented musicians to form cover bands with and did the bar circuit in York region since 2001.
After meeting with the other members of The Wick he was quoted as saying “I get to play Rush !!!” and that was all it took.

"Dave is from Keswick and has been banging drums for over 30 years with various cover and tribute bands as well as a 1991 original band call Sleight of Hand, releasing one studio album. Coming off a 3-year hiatus from a Rolling Stones Tribute Band ( Hotrocks), "The Wick" asked Dave to audition for their local 3-piece band after seeing his ad in "Bandmix" and they hit it off. Dave has played across Canada, United States and South America with former band  "Hotrocks " but is really looking forward to playing locally and having fun memorable times with Doug and Mark.

"At least now I can say I  live AND play in the Wick"

Mark was drawn to the sound of the bass guitar as young child in such songs as Radar Love, Love Africa and Hold Your Head Up which have prominent bass lines. The turning point though was on his first listen to Rush's 2112, he just had to learn how to play that. So off he went to purchase his first bass at the age of 15. And the rest is as they say history, 34 years later he is loving every minute and thoroughly enjoys watching the crowd dance, and move to the music.

Influences: Rush, Iron Maiden, Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, Nazareth, Goddo, Judas Priest, Ozzy Osbourne, Tool.
