The Wick has been playing in the GTA since 2010. We are a hard rocking band that takes great pride in working on our songs until we feel they are presentable.

Our wide variety of rock Genres ensures that everyone at the show has something to enjoy listening, dancing and singing along with.

At our shows we often hear someone say that they couldn't believe we played a certain song or “You guys have big balls to play that song and you are able to do it!”

Every gig is thought out and the song list put together to ensure that if you see us again and again at the same venue, you will not be hearing the same set list as last time.

We are always listening to people who come out to our shows for suggestions of songs to play and will put thought into including them in our set list or not, so keep those suggestions coming.

To suggest a song email us at: thewick@bell.net. To see our song list click here.

Doug has been rockin’ it for 40 + years and shows no sign of slowing down any time soon.
Growing up in an area with an abundance of musically talented people to play with, Doug had a lot of bands to gig with and record.
After moving to “The Wick” in 2000 he found a lot of talented musicians to form cover bands with and did the bar circuit in York region since 2001.
After meeting with the other members of The Wick he was quoted as saying “I get to play Rush !!!” and that was all it took.

Rolf started drumming when he was 13 after hearing an ad' on the radio. He was in big demand in high school playing in the concert band, stage band and his own band during those years. He trained under Roger Faulk at Humber college and moved on to learn about Recording Engineering at Fanshaw. He has been in many cover and original bands and along with providing the thunder in The Wick, he currently is teaching drums and running his own studio "S4" Studios in Mount Albert

Influences: John Bonham, Bill Ward, Neil Peart, Bill Bruford and Vinnie Colaiuta.

Mark was drawn to the sound of the bass guitar as young child in such songs as Radar Love, Love Africa and Hold Your Head Up which have prominent bass lines. The turning point though was on his first listen to Rush's 2112, he just had to learn how to play that. So off he went to purchase his first bass at the age of 15. And the rest is as they say history, 34 years later he is loving every minute and thoroughly enjoys watching the crowd dance, and move to the music.

Influences: Rush, Iron Maiden, Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, Nazareth, Goddo, Judas Priest, Ozzy Osbourne, Tool.
